NFC and Skype Heading for Windows Phone 8

It seems Microsoft is further beefing up the Windows Phone 8 functionality offering. The company is set to integrate NFC in its OS to support mobile billing and a host of other cool stuff the guys at Nokia are currently working out.

Bouncer Bounces Malware from Android Market

Free PlayBooks for Android Developers

RIM seems to do just about anything to spread their believe in the BlackBerry PlayBook. Following the launch of the support for Android apps on the device, Android developers can now get hold of a free PlayBook just by converting their Android app to the device.

The 6th Dutch AppEvent Stats

A couple of times a year, Dutch and Belgian iOS developers organize the AppEvent. A full month where a paid app goes for free for a whole day. Every time they organize the event, the impact is huge both in downloads and national media response (this unlike services that provide daily free apps on a regular basis).

Siri Fails to Please in Scotland

HTC to Push Android 4.0 Onto Sensation Devices

Yesterday, HTC announced it will be pushing the new Android 4.0 onto its entire line of Sensation devices (HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation XE and HTC Sensation XL). On top of that, the company will be launching a fourth Sensation device in March. It will be the Sansation Ice White.

iPad 3 to run on an A6 CPU

BGR has got its hands on a photo showing iBoot running on a prototype of an iPad 3. The feedback that iBoot is providing is pretty interesting. It displays that the iPad 3 is (as expected) running on Apple’s new A6 CPU. The new CPU should be a quad-core model giving Apple the power to improve the screen (probably go retina) and combat Asus’ newest Transformer.

The Humble Bundle Lifts Off on Android

The Humble Bundle started off as a project on Windows, Mac OS and Linux where the consumer can choose what to pay for software compilations it is buying, where the money is going (good cause or the developers) and if it goes to developers, who gets what. That same principle is now launched on Android.

Android Support in PlayBook Only 5 Days Away

It was one of the big salespitches from BlackBerry at the introduction of the QNX platform; it would be able to run Android Apps. Up until now, PlayBook users haven’t seen much of that promise. On February 6th however, BlackBerry will be rolling out PlayBook OS 2.0 with Android support.

iPhone 4S Set for China Launch in Feb

China Telecom is set to be launching the new iPhone 4S from Apple later this month. The operator will be launching the CDMA version of the device which is exciting news for Apple fans in China. China Telcom is the third operator to carry the CDMA version of the iPhone 4s on it’s network.
