AT&T Activated 400-500K iPads During First 2 Months

July 26th, 2010 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: iOS | No Comments »

During their quarterly earnings conference call, AT&T’s CFO Rick Linder has announced that the company has activated between 400K and 500K iPad 3G’s.

It seems the iPad Wi-Fi + 3G is attracting more business consumers than the company had anticipated. Businesses see the possibility to replace laptops with the iPad. Apple itself has sold 3.27 million iPads which indicates that non-3G models are probably higher in demand with consumers.
