AT&T has bought competitor T-Mobile US from Deutche Telecom. AT&T paid $39 billion for the operator that just introduced the new Sidekick to the North American market.
This deal makes AT&T the largest operator in the US as the combined userbase is 130 million consumers. About 30 million more than Verizon. The integration of T-Mobile into AT$T might last up to a year.
