Artificial Life has licensed the rights to develop mobile games under the names of Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko.
Wladimir Klitschko, also known as "Dr. Steelhammer," currently holds the IBF, WBO, and IBO world heavyweight titles. The professional boxing record of the Ukrainian-born champion speaks for itself! 50 wins, 44 by knockout and only 3 defeats. He also won the Gold Medal in the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games in the super heavyweight category.
His elder brother, Vitali Klitschko, is a former WBC and WBO heavyweight champion. He retired in 2005 and announced his comeback in 2007. His professional record is clear and impressive: 35 wins, 34 by knockout and just 2 defeats. He has the highest knockout percentage (92%) of any heavyweight champion in overall fights and has never been knocked down professionally. Both brothers are avid chess players and hold PhDs in sport science.
"We both are thrilled about the whole development process of the game and looking forward to the results. Finally my brother and me can compete in addition to the chess board," said Wladimir Klitschko. Eberhard Schoneburg, Artificial Life’s Chief Executive Officer, said, "It is a great honor for us and an exciting opportunity to work with the current global heavyweight boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko and his brother Vitali on some cool new mobile boxing games. Both brothers are enormous talents in the world of boxing and highly recognizable boxing icons. We will produce a series of high quality 2D and 3D mobile games based on the images of these outstanding boxers. We want to set new standards in mobile boxing game play with these new games. We expect to release the first game in the 3rd quarter of 2008. All games will be distributed globally and on our portal www.botme.com."
