Vision Mobile is not the only researcher to poll mobile developers. AppStoreHQ also checked the cross-platform interest of mobile developers and discovered it is very limited.
While Vision Mobile said that 60% of mobile developers have been working on Android and 50% of them have been working on iOS, it is easy to estimate that at least 10% of them work cross-platform. Yet the analysis from AppStoreHQ shows only about 3% of mobile developers launching their products on both.
Unlike Mobile Vision, AppStoreHQ doesn’t send out an enquiry but checks the information from their own database. That database holds about 55.000 developers. Of those, only 1.412 have launched the same product on both platforms.
Congratulations
