A recent survey from US based AppsFire amongst 1.200 consumers shows that they have downloaded 65 applications and games on average, spending about $ 80,- on them.
About 65% of those apps where free. For the 35% paid apps, consumers paid $ 1,56 on average. The 1.200 users had only 15.000 unique apps installed.
The company estimates that the total market value of the App Store is currently $ 3.3 Billion.
