Apple’s App Store Hits 25bn Download Mark

Apple has confirmed the 25.000.000.000th download on the iTunes App Store. This mark was met yesterday. In the days before this remarkable number was reached, Apple was pushing out over 48 million downloads a day.

It took Apple a remarkable three years and seven months to accomplish this. By now, over half a million apps are available on the App Store with 248.000 developers registered in the US alone. Apple estimates 210.000 US jobs have been created through the App Store.
