Though most of us expected Apple to roll out App Store subscriptions with an update to iOS, the company suddenly launched the new functionality earlier today.
The subscription services are available to all publishers of content based apps like magazine, newspaper, music and video publishers. The sudden availability might have something to do with the mess surrounding Sony’s eReader app that was pulled two weeks back.
