Apple has received a new patent for location based applications. With this technology, Apple can push its advertising strategy beyond their iAd platform.
Through this patent, Apple will be able to install and remove apps based on the GPS location of the consumer. i.e. a restaurant menu can be installed on the device when a consumer is in range of that restaurant, and will be removed when leaving the area. Opt-in or lock-in?
Congratulations
