Wobble, probably one of the most erotic non-erotic apps on the app store and several other apps showing babes have been removed from iTunes after Apple changed its guidelines.
Even though the Wobble app itself didn’t feature any adult content, it allowed users to let certain parts of a photo wobble. It’s no secret the app was mostly used for girly pics. The developer noted that he made $300.000 on the app so far.
Apple informed the developer that it removed the app because of refinements to its guidelines. The developer was in the process of building a successor to the app.
“The dumb thing is that Wobble has no content at all. what is more, there have been no changes to Wobble functionality in about 6-8 months ( a few bug fixes only)” wrote Jon Atherton on the Chillifresh website. “Maybe Apple are changing their standards to comply with rules in other countries that they have just opened up their App store to? Maybe we’ll only be able to show a woman if she is wearing a veil??”
Not only Chillifresh games has been Apple’s target, Softbox is another developer that has been hit by Apple taking down a suggestive app. For them, Bikini Inspector has been taken offline.
“I had my app removed as well… what are your plans? I want to resubmit but I have no idea what is "appropriate" now… confused” said Kenneth Wong to Wobble developer Jon Atherton.
