Apple’s Span of Control Holds Back iAd Growth

August 24th, 2010 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: iOS | No Comments »

According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple’s tight grip on the iAd network and content is the primary reason the network is not growing as fast as both advertisers and developers would like.

At the moment, it takes Apple between 8 and 10 weeks to roll out a single advert. On top of that, Advertisers have a hard time to get grip on what they can and can’t do on the platform according to Patrick Moorhead, director of mobile platforms at ad agency DraftFC.
