Apple made new changes to the developer agreement that will give developers more freedom when they want to promote their apps by introducing the possibility to organize sweepstakes.
The change is in article 3.3.17 “3.3.17 Your Application may include promotional sweepstake or contest functionality provided that You are the sole sponsor of the promotion and that You and Your Application comply with any applicable laws.”
This move will without doubt bring a new wave of incentive based business to the App Store. We are looking forward to the first results.
