Android SDK Goes 1.0

September 28th, 2008 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: AndroidOS | No Comments »

With the first device (HTC G1) hitting the consumer market in October
(T-Mobile USA), Google has now finally released the official 1.0
version of the much anticipated SDK.

With the release of SDK 1.0, Google’s Android team also announced that Android’s App Store will launch around the same time of the device. The official release of Android OS 1.0 is still planned for Q4 which will mean that more and more vendors will have access to the OS. Mainly the Chinese device market will greatly benefit from that momentum.
