Google's Android team has released version 1.6 of their Android SDK (Also known as Donut). The new SDK offers support for more screen sizes and CDMA based mobile phones.
Next to screensizes, developers can also switch between QVGA and WVGA resolutions and additional gesture API's have been included as well as text to speech functionality. A complete overview of the new functionality available can be found here.
If you want to use the new 1.6 SDK, keep in mind that the Android Development Tools also need to be upgraded. The first 1.6 devices are expected to hit the market in October.
