Google announced that Android Market will finally bring support for apps that have multiple APK’s for different devices. This brings various advantages compared to the old single-APK model it used.
For once, developers can pinpoint specific builds toward devices so phones don’t have to download artwork for huge tablet screens, saving a lot on resources for the consumer. At the same time, hacking APK’s will become less interesting as, just with J2me, hackers will need to get hold of all APK’s to deliver decent packages to their users.
