Following a successful launch on the iPhone, Amazon has now pushed their Kindle platform onto Android. Kindle for Android is free and offers access to Amazon’s full ebook repository.
At the moment, Amazon is offering about 620.000 ebooks on the Kindle store, priced mostly around $9,99. If you already own a kindle, or kindle books on other platforms, the kindle app will sync them as well as the page you are with the current book you are reading. On Android, it also allows you to control the backlight to make reading in the dark a bit more comfortable.
but it is not free.
