AdMob has revealed new usage statistics from it's advertising network. One of the first things that pops up is that iPhone OS has become the leading OS by taking the no#1 spot from Symbian.
The iPhone climbed from 33% to 40% where Symbian tumbled down from 43% to 34%. It is not clear of the success of the iPod Touch as an MP3 Player has polished these numbers. Third place is for Rim at 8% (down 2%) followed closely by Android at 7% (up 5%). WebOS is the newcomer and secured 4%, the same as Windows Mobile (down 3%). PalmOS is on a decline from 3% in Feb to 1% now but that's to be expected from a deprecated OS.
Before celebrating, keep in mind, these numbers are limited to AdMob's network and so are not part of real market research.
