Though Acer has only just recommitted to developing mobile phones, the company has already announced that it is interested in launching it's own App Store for it's series of mobile devices.
This news was announced by Acer's VP Aymar Lencquesaing to one of our readers at an Acer press event last week in London. The App Store would be integrated with Acer's new series of Windows Mobile based handsets. If that would benefit for their hardware distribution toward consumers is to be doubted though as more established brands are having problems with operators that are not happy by such alternatives.
Congratulations
