Though requested since the launch on iOS, Instagram recently launched its photoapp on Android. The launch didn’t go unnoticed as Instagram recorded a million downloads on day one.
During the first day, Instagram accepted 2.000 new signups a minute. Instagram allowed consumers to register with the site to be notified when the app went online. 430.000 consumers used the notification service.
