Being the biggest operator in the US is clearly providing leverage. Yesterday, Verzin shared details about their upcoming app store, today they let the world know that pre-installed vendor stores are not allowed.
Instead of the vendor stores, Verizon will pre-install it's own store on phones that are sold with the network. That way, the operator will have less risk of losing revenues toward the vendors and they make it even more interesting for developers to sign up.
