TelyHD is an Xbox Kinect like webcam that can be mounted on top of TV’s to provide consumers with Skype functionality. Next to the interesting hardware, the device runs on Android.
The TelyHD has a 720p camera in combination with 4 directional microphones and an infrared remote receiver. On the back of the device, we find an SD card reader, USB, Ethernet, MiniHDMI and DC Power port. The device also has a built-in WiFi antenna. The developer of the TelyHD is already looking for Android developers that are willing to bring new apps to the device. For now, the TelyHD is only available in the US.
