Samsung has announced it will be delivering the first smartphone based on Windows 8 by the end of the year. The Thai branch of Samsung brought the news to a local website called ePrice.
Samsung said the device would arrive in the second half of the year, but Microsoft is expected to present Windows 8 in October. With the release of Windows 8, the smartphones should be running the same kernel as modern-day PC’s do. This could also mean support for more screensizes and SoC configurations.
