According to research from Dutch blog Bijgespijkerd, consumers are getting tired of DrawSomething. The loss of interest started earlier than with last year’s hit Wordfeud.
Research under 100 gamers show they have an average of 15 matches at the same time. With Wordfeud, 30% of gamers were spending more than 45 minutes a day in the game. With DrawSomething this is only 2%. While 23% of Wordfeud gamers had been saying their work suffered from their addiction, for DrawSomething that’s only 9%.
60% of gamers think it is most important for a match to last as long as possible while the others are more interested in completing the most difficult words. The biggest annoyance is a lack of possibilities to communicate in-game followed by the maximum score of 99. The complete results are in the slides below (Dutch).
