Nokia has announced the availability of the latest software update for the Lumia 800. Though the company made some minor adjustments to the OS, the majority of work went into improving batterylife.
I have been walking around with the Lumia 800 for weeks and batterylife is pretty much its worst enemy. Though it is one of the better Windows Phone devices on the market, it is highly uncomfortable to walk around with a charger as the device can’t make it past lunchtime. It kind of loses the benefits of being a wireless device.
Anyway, the new software update is available over Zune and should fix all that. Holland and a number of other countries are amongst the first to receive the update. Other countries will get it in the coming four weekd.
