Microsoft has announced the support for a large number of new markets where consumers can download apps to their Windows Phone devices. As so, App Hub will soon allow submissions for these.
Microsoft expects App hub to open up for those marketing within the next two weeks. In total, 23 new markets become available; Bahrain, Bulgaria, China, Costa Rica, Croatia, Estonia, Iceland, Iraq, Israel, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, Ukraine, Venezuela, and Vietnam. That’s in addition to the five stores we opened earlier this year in Argentina, Indonesia, Malaysia, Peru, and the Philippines.
With the availability in these 23 new markets, the total runs up to 63 markets. Microsoft does state that Bahrain, China, Indonesia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE have additional certification requirements due to local laws.
