With the change from Sony Ericsson to Sony, comes not only a name change. The company seems to be interested in exploring opportunities with Microsoft again. Sony Ericsson’s first Xperia device ran Windows Phone.
The news comes from PhoneArena who met with Sony’s marketing manager Stephen Sweeden during the MWC. Stephen told the website it is open to make a move for Windows Phone and it is keeping an eye on the progress of the platform. Of course, Sony also has its own ARM-based mobile OS ready.
