Nokia Money was first announced in 2009 to serve as the first digital form of money in many countries where consumers don’t have bank accounts. The service was launched late last year.
So far, the service launched in India, but the service is already going down. No reason has been given, but a lack of response to the service is the most likely reason for Nokia to terminate it so fast. Even though Nokia Money might not have been the success the company has been hoping for, the company is still doing well in bringing developing countries online with their Asha phones.
