Tonight, Apple is set to review A new iPad. The press seems to be divided between the iPad 3 or the iPad HD. We will throw in the iPad 2 HD name as that could make sense too. Why? Read on…
The new iPad is highly likely to have 1GB of RAM memory on board. This makes room for a faster dual-core A5X CPU or even a quad-core A6 model and the combination is likely to support a new Retina Display. On top of that, there might be a better camera and support for 4G.
As it seems, the exterior from the iPad will hardly change. The same happened between the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS as well as the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S. As so, we deem it likely Apple might go for the iPad 2HD.
Apple is also likely to present iOS 5.1 tonight. No major update, but one that does fix a lot of bugs and is likely to include a few new minor features for the OS.
iTunes is also likely to receive an update. If not, the biggest change will be the new catalogue category. There are many catalogue apps already like that of Ikea. They will get their own place in the App Store.
Furthermore a new Apple TV is expected. 98% of the US Apple Stores have no Apple TV devices on stock.
Tonight from 18:00 (UK) 19:00 (CET), we will be liveblogging about the Apple Event, so stay tuned!
Congratulations
