Android 5.0 Expected This Summer

February 21st, 2012 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: AndroidOS | No Comments »

Though lots of consumers are still waiting for their ICS upgrades, it seems Google is about to finish off work on Jelly Bean, or Android 5.0. It is rumoured that Google is not happy with ICS’ performance and that Jelly Bean is what the company actually had in mind for 4.0.

Another reason for Google to speed up development, might be the Windows 8 release from Microsoft in Q3 2012. Window 8 is a serious competitor for notebooks, netbooks, tablets and other touch screen computers. Though Google already has ChromeOS for netbooks, we wouldn’t be surprised if Google is to switch to a single OS in the long run.
