Chrome Web Store Heading for Android ICS?

February 7th, 2012 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: Web Apps | No Comments »

As it seems, Android developers will soon get competition from Google’s Chrome Web Store. Google has just released the beta of Chrome for Android on ICS devices (not available in all countries).

Google advertises the new browser as identical to the one on the computer at home. No doubt, the browser will be able to run most Chrome apps as they are mostly built in HTML 5, but it is not clear if the Chrome Web Store is there from the start. If no there, the mobile version of Chrome wouldn’t exactly offer all the desktop version does.
