THQ Closes Two Studios

June 14th, 2011 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Companies & M&A | No Comments »

Maybe not mobile related, but for some of you that are working with THQ it might be interesting to know the company has closed down two of their gamestudios.

To be exact, THQ has closed down the Kaos and Digital Warrington studios. Kaos was responsible for the recently released shooter Homefront while Digital Warrington worked on the Juiced series. In total 115 employees will be looking for a new job this summer. Reasons for closing down are strategic. THQ reported 136.1 million in losses over their 2011 fiscal year.
