Owners of Sony Ericsson phones that wish to load custom roms onto their devices are now able to unlock their devices the legit way, though still voiding their warranty for SE.
Warranty is a hot issue with Sony Ericsson, so the company tried to discourage consumers as much as possible and registers the IMEI code before the unlock happens. This way, SE always knows if a phone has been unlocked at some point. The bootloader unlocker also doesn’t work with operator branded models.
