Apple's Phil Schiller came on stage to talk about the good old iPod. To date, 220 million of them where sold and about 9% of those (20 Million) are iPost Touch's.
According to NPD reseacht, this gives Apple a marketshare of 73.8%. Competitor Microsoft has only 1.1% with it's Zune. First time buyers pick the iPod in 50% of the purchases.
He also compared the iPod Touch with the other consoles in the market. Currently, Sony's PSP only has 607 games available. The Nintendo DS has 3.680 games out there and the iPod Touch 21.178.
