Microsoft to Offer Operator Billing in Windows Marketplace

Microsoft has closed an agreement with Mach to facilitate operator billing for the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace. As you could read this morning, Operator billing is highly popular in countries like The Netherlands.

By introducing this payment method, Microsoft can offer one-click purchasing just like Apple but without the need for consumers to register their creditcards or the infrastructure to provide them with the option to buy vouchers. The only downside could be the costs involved with operator billing.
