App Stats – The 2010 Balance

According to research from AndroLib, Windows Phone marketplace now holds over 5.000 apps. The app store was launched earlier this year to facilitate the launch of Windows Phone 7 in October.

According to AndroLib, Android Market crossed 200.000 apps while iOS is around 300.000. They guess Android is doing 103 app downloads a second. That is 2.5 billion downloads since Android Market launched.

148Apps disagrees with AndroLib on the number of apps in the App Store. According to 148Apps, iOS passed 390.000 apps.

We expect this race to continue in 2011.
