While Apple has been monitoring jailbreaks for some time and has an API in place in iOS4 that monitors the status of an iPhone, the company has silently switched that functionality off.
Though jailbreak detection has been active, there hadn’t been any serious measures in place to discourage iOS users. It have been mostly security companies that use the API for background information on the security status of a particular iOS device.
Congratulations
