App Farms Continue to Abuse the App Store?

December 8th, 2010 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: iOS | No Comments »

According to a post on The Next Web, app farms are hiding the App Store yet again. In the US paid business apps chart, malicious apps seem to be pulling in revenues like crazy.

The apps identified are coming from two sources; Group University and MinhIT and are variations of the same app. One of them even has 25 titles in the top 200 which is pretty amazing by itself. It is pretty likely, the companies use hacked accounts to achieve this.
