It seems Sony is planning to allow game rentals for the new PSP system. With this tactic it will not only shut out retail sales, but also rental stores that rent out UMD's for the older models.
When ploughing through the PSP, we noticed an 'hours left' line mentioned when we looked at the details of a purchased game. Sony has a similar thing for Video content in the US. Games can even be sorted on expiration date. Next to the hours left, there is also a timestamp for when the game is installed and when it expires.
