Synapsy has announced a new deal in which the company will be powering the 3Apps shops for Android based smartphones on the networks of Hutchison in Austria, Denmark and Sweden.
Through the deal, Hutchison’s clients will have access to a portfolio of over 100.000 apps and games aggregated by Synapsy. Hutchison was already running sales channels under the 3Apps title for J2me, Brew, Symbian and Bada devices.
“The Android Market is doubtless one of the biggest successes of the mobile VAS arena in the last time and consumers love the idea to find an app for almost everything there.” said André Freier, Management Partner of SYNAPSY “But flooding customers with hundreds of thousands of apps and even malware lacking a protective filter cannot be the perfect fit for an operator that wants to take care for quality and safety.”
“The SYNAPSY application store provides our customers with the best branded games and apps as well as the most popular and useful applications from the Android Market. It helps us to ensure quality and safety of the recommended apps.” said Fabian Seydewitz, 3 Austria’s Head of Product & Services
“3Apps for Android is another step in our strategy to be best with smartphones. Now we offer our customers a selection of applications (in addition to our own) on Android Market that we like and believe our customers also will like, as well as making it easier for them to find some of the great applications that are available on Android Market” says Björn Hylta, Product Manager 3Sweden.
