Android will be the Primary Development Platform in 2011

November 6th, 2010 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Research & Stats | 1 Comment »

According to research from Business Insider, Google’s Android platform (29%) will be the hottest platform to develop for in 2011, followed by Apple’s iPad (20%) and Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 (20%).

Suprisingly enough, Apple’s iPhone (8%) takes 5th spot, right after BlackBerry (12%). Symbian (6%) and WebOS (4%) end the list. If the iOS devices would have been merged, iOS itself would have 28%, pushing Windows Phone from a shared second place to third.
