Gartner has put some research in the future of Android and it seems the OS is here to stay. The company expects that Android will outsell iPhone OS in about two years but might not be able to beat Symbian.
Things look even worse for Apple as Gartner predicts that BlackBerry will take the third spot in 2012, resulting in iPhone OS not even having a top 3 placement on the market. They will however beat Microsoft as Windows Mobile or Windows Phone will have to do with the fifth spot in their chart.
