Android seems to be growing in popularity amongst app developers. Though only 5.532 apps where launched in the first month of this year, 9.346 where launched in the second.
In total, the Android Market now consists of over 40.000 apps. In September 2009, this was just 10.000 while we announce 20.000 apps in December and 30.000 apps in March.
Of all these 40.000 apps, 60% are free. In total, 14% are games which could mean games are overcomplicated for a lot of app developers.
Though the growth of the Android Market is promising, Google will still need to work on the user experience.
Congratulations
