Unity Technologies has just closed their series A funding round. The company managed to secure $5.5 Million from Sequoia Capital, David Gardner (CEO Atari) and Diane Greene (VMWare Founder).
With over 325 iPhone games using Unity's 3D engine (and a lot of web based ones), Unity is becoming an important player in the 3D gaming engine market. This week, the company is even organizing an event in San Francisco to establish a better relationship with new and existing developers.
