Nintendo Announces DSi XL

October 29th, 2009 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Gaming Gear, Platforms: DSiWare | 1 Comment »

Nintendo We have barely gotten used to our Nintendo DSi and already the company announced a followup; The DSi XL (or LL for Asia). It will bring a bigger screen amongst other features.

The 3.25″ screens will be replaced with 4.2″ models to make sure you see every pixel (indeed, resolution is the same again) and two braintrainers and a dictionary will be pre-installed. It will also come with a balpen sized stylus next to the regular slim model. Nintendo will release it in Dark Brown, Wine Red and Natural White in Asia. The colours for Europe are unknown at this time but we do know it will land in the European shelf's during Q1 2010 for about

Nintendo will have a huge problem. More iPods will be sold for gaming than DS for x-mas. DS is out and looks antiquated compared to the stylish iPod. Also the games are free on the iPods – thanks to Apple.
