Microsoft has released an Office branded mobile phone for the Spanish market. The phone runs Windows Mobile 6.5.3 and is a rebranded SonyEricsson Aspen.
The mobile phone comes with a new Office version that contains Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint and will be sold over Vodafone. Why Microsoft took this step is unknown, but it could be a marketing experiment to test how the company could shift Windows Mobile 6.5 to the enterprise community while consumers dive onto Windows Phone 7.
