John Pope from Nokia has sent us some additional numbers on the Ovi store performance as well as the performance of some of the other Nokia products and services that have been announced at Nokia World yesterday.
Registers Ovi store users download 2.6 apps per visit and 200.000 new users register every day (that is 2.6 signups every second!).
Ovi Maps is doing well for the company too as it is dominating the GPS navigation market on all Nokia devices (but that was to be expected). The average active user starts 11 GPS sessions every month. Nokia compares this to Facebook where the average active user starts 19 sessions a month. All the routes that are calculated on a daily bases are long enough to stretch around the world 80 times.
The Ovi Music service is now live in 38 markets and of those, 33 markets support unlimited music downloads (Comes with Music). According to IFPI (Recording Industry in Numbers 2010), Ovi Music is the leading music source in Brazil, Mexico, India, Finland and South Africa.
Congratulations
