EA Mobile has generated a turnover of $ 51 Million during the quarter. Other platforms still seem to hold well as mobile is still roughly 5% of EA’s total revenues.
For mobile, this means a revenue increase of $ 4 million year-on-year (or 9%). With these numbers, EA Mobile holds the lead toward competitors Glu and Gameloft who announced their numbers last week.
There is also a downside to the earnings report from EA. The company made a net loss of $ 391 Million. That’s over 25% year-on-year. As a result, jobs will be sacrificed to cut costs. The company will let 1.500 staff members go and reserved up to $ 150 Million for restructuring costs.
