DevCon: Age Ratings Coming to BB App World

November 11th, 2009 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Analysis & Editorial, Platforms: BlackBerry | No Comments »

Rim Good news for developers of adult games and applications. RIM is working on an age rating system to allow mature themed content to be sold on BlackBerry App World.

At the moment, RIM is not considering to take up adult themed mobile content as it has no way to avoid such content being shown to kids. With the implementation of the system, a new content group that is sure to generate good revenues, will become available (though RIM could still apply certain restrictions like Apple did).
