Samsung Introduces Next Bada Phone

September 6th, 2010 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: Bada, Smartphones & Tablets | 1 Comment »

Samsung UK has uncovered the company’s next Bada phone. The device will be called the Wave 723. We have no clue what the numbers refer to, but it is clear the company wants to continue cashing on the popularity of the first Wave handset.

The Wave 723 will be running Bada OS 1.1 which allows UI scaling. UI scaling is needed as the resolution of the Wave 723 is only 400×240 while the first wave ran at 800×480. This lower resolution suggests that the Wave 723 is a low budget phone, probably aimed at pre-paid users.

    1. Bada in Hindi Language is BIG, is samsung targetting Indian market with this Brand name? India is the fastest growing market and its going to be biggest as still 60% users are not having mobile phones.
