August 12th, 2010 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Companies & M&A | No Comments »

Microsoft has started to setup a dedicated mobile games studio to publish first- and second-party games on both the upcoming Windows Phone 7 devices as well as other emerging platforms.

Though the primary focus of the studio will be Windows Phone 7 at start, Microsoft is planning to release games on platforms like the iPhone as well as it can monetize on franchises from the existing Microsoft Game Studios like Halo and Age of Empires.
